Today finds our heroine near-housebound (without video games!), broke, functionally unemployed, limping, broken-computered, and (as of an hour ago) settling into a full-blown headcold.

( Is it a good month for anybody, really? )

Did not pass my assessment at derby. Apparently the coaches agree with me that scrimmaging really badly is a reason not to be at playing level. Will try again with more urgency in a couple weeks.

Drove around and looked at christmas lights with the boy last night. Seeing friends for dinner tonight. Life is full and good.

I was pretty upset when I went into scrimmage last night. No one had even confirmed I was going to get to play in the bout, and when I asked during the day yesterday they indicated draft decisions still hadn't been made.
